CONTEXT
Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) is an international humanitarian aid organization that provides assistance in more than 60 countries to populations in distress, to victims of natural or manmade disasters and to victims of armed conflicts, without discrimination and irrespective of origin, religion, creed or political affiliation.
MSF is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Internal Communication Intern to join our Learning and Development (L&D) unit. As the Internal Communication intern for the L&D unit, you will play a key part in crafting and executing internal communication strategies to give more visibility to our learning offer.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Please note that some activities follow a cyclical schedule and may or may not be included depending on the internship period
- Support the organization of the “Learning day” in head quarters by preparing the program, communicating about the program, managing registrations, arranging the logistic support (booking rooms, ensuring availability of the material needed), communicating with the facilitators
- Collect and compile data for the yearly L&D unit report in collaboration with L&D unit members, following the previous year's template and graphic charter, and ensure its publication on the intranet and manage the printing process
- In collaboration with the members of the L&D unit, redact the L&D yearly report and publish the report on the intranet, manage printing and posting the report in MSF
- In collaboration with the members of the L&D unit, craft clear and consistent messaging regarding L&D programs and initiatives, ensuring understanding among managers and learners. Prepare key L&D reports like the annual report to increase the visibility of the unit
- Support the development of a comprehensive communications plan utilizing various channels (email, intranet, social media, newsletters, posters, webinars) to engage our internal audience
- In collaboration with Information and Knowledge management officer of the different departments, identify and segment target audiences within the organization, adapting communication to their unique needs and preferences
- Ensure accessibility and inclusivity in all communication materials, catering to diverse learning styles and abilities
- Maintain close alignment with the internal communications unit's strategy and communication plan
- Additional tasks may request some flexibility depending on the agenda and the workload of the support team
REQUIREMENTS
Education & Experience

Master's degree in communications or a related area of study.

Strong communication, writing, and content creation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with communication tools.
Strong organizational skills.

French and English required

*Due to legal administrative constraints, given the duration of the contract, candidates must already have the permanent right as Belgian or EU national, and/or valid work permit with mention of "Unlimited access to the labor market" to work in Belgium
- Position type**: Professional Immersion Agreement (Convention d’Immersion Professionnelle / Beroepsinlevingsstage) – Full-time – this is a Professional immersion agreement (CIP) enables the candidate to receive an allowance
