CONTEXT
MSF Operational Center Brussels Supports more than 150 projects around the world with over 6000 operational people requiring ICT technology and data as support for their daily work. Our ICT systems are vital in ensuring smooth operations and transparency in our work.
We are looking for a Junior ICT Business Analyst / Junior PM Scheduler intern to join our ICT OCB team for a max 90-day scholar internship. This is an excellent opportunity for a Student in ICT who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a non-profit environment. You will assist our ICT team in analyzing business processes and needs, optimizing our use of technology, and supporting the project teams into their project life cycle. The role will involve working closely with different departments, helping ICT to improve and document the understanding of their functional requirements and convert them into technical specifications as well as supporting ongoing projects with project scheduling, risk & data management and eventually training users on new tools & portfolio/resource Management techniques.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist in Analyzing Business Needs; Work with different teams to understand their challenges and needs related to technology and data

Help document business processes, functional specifications and workflows to identify areas where ICT solutions can improve domain efficiency

Support ICT Projects; Assist in ICT projects such as software updates, system rollouts, or the implementation of new tools

Learn to create project documentation, including timelines, user requirements & functional specifications, and progress reports

Participate in project meetings, helping the ICT team ensure tasks are completed on time

Help Optimize ICT Portfolio Management Systems; Work alongside the Portfolio Management team to support the roll-out of the new portfolio Strategic plan including Change Management support, software and communication tools

Assist in testing new tools or upgrades, ensuring they meet the Strategic plan functional needs. Be a change advocate and support the team in applying those changes

User Training and Support. Help the ICT team in creating simple training materials and guides for staff on new tools or systems. Provide basic technical support to staff, troubleshooting common ICT issues (with guidance from senior staff)

Data Collection and Reporting; learn how to collect, organize, and analyze project data and assemble them into a comprehensive Dashboard. Assist in preparing reports for the ICT team and other departments that highlight key findings and suggest improvements
REQUIREMENTS

Student in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related discipline)

Any ICT-related courses or certifications are a plus but not required

Basic understanding of ICT systems and software (e.g., Microsoft Office suite, MS teams, SharePoint etc.)

Eager to learn about business analysis, project management, and ICT in the non-profit sector

Good communication skills, especially the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical people

Organized and able to manage multiple tasks with guidance from supervisors

Project Management: Gain exposure to how projects are managed from inception to implementation, participate in the development of Key PM deliverables. As timing fits, attend the “WePlan” predictive PM training as a full trainee

Portfolio Management: learn what is PfM and get involved in ensuring prioritization of key resources

User Training and Support: Learn how to create user-friendly training guides and support materials including Executive dashboards

*Due to legal administrative constraints, candidates must already be resident in Belgium or have a residence right as a student in Belgium or in the European Union allowing to move and study in the EU and with the willingness to relocate in Belgium at their own costs

100% reimbursement for public transportation costs in Belgium, and 7 EUR/day worked in the office to cover lunch costs
